At the end of 2011 we have bought a wonderful amount of patchwork kilims in Afghanistan. These kilims are entirely made in the traditional way.

The Nepal collection consists of 2 different (custom made) collections: The Nepal Sundar Collection and the Nepal Namaste Collection. The Nepal Sundar Collection is dyed with vegetable (natural) dyes because of which beautiful colour nuances (abrash) arise. The Nepal Namast Collection is dyed with synthetic dyes (even colour).

The Modern Collection consists of 10 different hand-woven qualities in more than 65 different colours (combinations).
The carpets are handmade in Morocco. The wool of which is largely imported from New Zealand and Europe.
The carpets differ in height, thickness and appearance and give the interior a contemporary and modern character.

Nowadays the Ziegler carpets of De Munk Carpets can be found in many modern interiors. This is not so surprising. Next year Edwin Tromp (43) celebrates his 10-year anniversary as director of De Munk Carpets, importer and wholesaler of carpets. He does this together with his wife and co-owner Mirjam.
